The handmade wall hanging represents an incredible example of Byzantine mosaics, Qasr Libya.
The lively and colorful mosaics of Qasr Libya are considered some of the finest examples of Byzantine period art ever discovered.
The panels come from the town’s ruined 6th-century (AD 529-540) Byzantine eastern church and are considered to be among the greatest of Libya’s archaeological treasures.
The collection contains 50 panels, mostly of animals, gods, goddesses, nymphs, and famous landmarks.
100% linen fabric and 100% wool hand dyed yarn are used for the base. The wall hanging with handmade carpet is edged by a wooden frame that is made from ash. Black wooden frame suits most interiors.
